The Joseph A. Cushman Award for Excellence in Foraminiferal Research


The Joseph A. Cushman Award was established in 1979 to honor researchers who have made outstanding contributions in the field of foraminiferology. The award consists of recognition of the awardee in the pages of the Journal of Foraminiferal Research, and a plaque embossed with the Foundation's seal, the awardee's name and date of the award.

Nominations are sought from the profession and will be considered at the Board of Director's regular business meetings. The nomination and a statement of the candidate's acheivements in the study of foraminifera can be sent to the Secretary at: Cushman Foundation, MRC-121 Department of Paleobiology,
