- Planktonic foraminifera
- Foraminifera-based interpretations of long- and short-term climate, ocean, and biotic change principally during the Cretaceous and Paleogene.
- Mid-Cretaceous oceanic anoxic events, the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary, the mid-Maastrichtian, and the Eocene greenhouse to icehouse transition.
- Secretary of the Paleogene Planktic Foraminifer Working Group
- Lead Coordinator of the Mesozoic Planktic Foraminifer Working Group
- Thematic Coordinator of taxonomic image dictionaries for the NSF sponsored Chronos intiative
